Economic Impacts of Proposed Indiana Solar Farms
Capital Dynamics proposed to develop large-scale solar farms in several counties in Indiana. It anticipated that the developments will have physical and financial effects on the counties where they are located. To provide information for County Commissioners on the potential economic impacts of these developments, Capital Dynamics commissioned GTSI to conduct an economic modeling exercise to estimate the economic effect of the developments on employment, labor income, and gross state product in each of the five affected areas. In addition to developing a baseline economic and energy profile of Indiana and of each area, the GTSI team used IMPLAN to conduct an input-output model estimation of each development.
